May 24, 2017: Lynn McGee with Jennifer Franklin and Anya Silver at KGB Bar on East 4th Street in the East Village, NYC. Anya Krugovoy Silver, who passed away in August 2018, authored the books Second Bloom, from The Polema Poetry Series of Cascade Books (2017), I Watched You Disappear (LSU Press, 2014) and The Ninety-Third Name of God (LSU Press, 2010). Jennifer Franklin is the author of Looming (Elixir Press, 2015), and No Small Gift (Four Way Books, 2018).
March 31, 2017: Lynn McGee with Elaine Sexton and Matthew Thorburn at the Hudson Valley Writers Center, Sleepy Hollow, New York.
October 1, 2016: Lynn McGee led a poetry workshop, "Free the Verse: A Workshop
for LGBTQ-Themed Poems," at the Hudson Valley Writer's Center in Sleepy Hollow, New York. This workshop affirmed the writer’s sense of what she can say in a public forum. Rhyme, metric patterns, diction, image, resonance and clarity were thoughtfully considered, as well as the intention of the writer and the poem's impact on readers.
July 31, 2016: Lynn McGee read on behalf of Slapering Hol Press with Heidi Lynn Nielsen, Susana H. Case and Sally Bliumus-Dunn the 6th Annual New York City Poetry Festival, Governors Island in New York Harbor.
